John McCullough Joins Ventura Transfer Company as Controller
LONG BEACH, CA – July 13, 2005 – Ventura Transfer Company, a bulk transfer, intermodal company based in Long Beach, California, (http://www.venturatransfer.com) announced the appointment of John H. McCullough as controller at the company headquarters. The announcement was made today by Brian Oken, president and CEO of Ventura Transfer Company.
As controller, McCullough will oversee the entire accounting operations of the Ventura Transfer Company corporation and it’s different locations within the Western U.S. McCullough will report directly to Oken.
Prior to joining VTC, McCullough was a consultant to the controller at CDI Torque Products, Inc. where he assisted with all accounting functions for this manufacturer of torque wrenches (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Snap-On Tools, Inc.) Prior to that, McCullough was the controller of Steven Label Corporation for four years. While there, he was responsible for all financial reporting, cash management, credit, costing, accounting controls, business insurance, and tax issues. McCullough also served in similar positions at Plastic Specialties, Inc., a manufacturer of plastic lenses for the lighting industry, and for Makita U.S.A., Inc., a distributor of Japanese power tools. He earned an MBA at Whittier College in California.
