Ventura wins CTA award
California bulk handling and transport specialists
Ventura Transfer Company was recently awarded 2nd place in the California
Trucking Association’s (CTA) 2003 Fleet Safety Contest. The
award took place at the annual Fleet Safety Awards Banquet in Sacramento
in June.

Truckload” category. VTC’s dry bulk operations competed
with all the truckload carriers. The Fleet Safety Awards are given
to companies with the lowest accident frequency in an entire year.

to determine a carrier’s safety record include company safety
policies; hiring and training procedures for drivers; frequency
